In 2013, I was offered an opportunity to share my love of needle felting with others. A local yarn-fiber shop (and cheese creamery) saw my all wool gargoyle, and some of my other work, and asked if I would consider teaching needle felting classes at their store. They had spinning, knitting, and other classes that covered all manner of wool and fiber crafts and art, so I was very honored to be asked.
At the beginning of 2019 I closed my small needle felting art business, and have since focused on my own projects, and sharing needle felting techniques and projects with others. I feel more creative without having to worry about business details... holding local workshops, and pushing the limits of what I can do with wool and a needle, are more fun than ever!
My work can be found online, through Facebook and on Instagram (when time allows, or I can stop stabbing wool). You can find updates on my workshops and many fun projects there. If you're a felter, I admin a FB group called, Sculptural Needle Felting, that's filled with inspiration and wonderful tips, hints, and technique sharing by a wonderful group of fiber loving needle felters.
